Ingredients:
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
2 1/4 cups granulated sugar
4 large eggs
1 1/4 cups cocoa powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon espresso powder (optional)
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan and set aside.
In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
Add the sugar and stir to combine. Heat the mixture until it's hot but not bubbling, about 110-120°F (43-49°C).
Transfer the sugar mixture to a large mixing bowl and beat in the eggs, one at a time.
Stir in the cocoa powder, salt, baking powder, espresso powder (if using), and vanilla extract.
Add the flour and stir until just combined.
Fold in the chocolate chips.
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
Bake the brownies for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with just a few moist crumbs.
Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan before slicing and serving.
Enjoy your delicious and classic chocolate brownies! You can serve them with a scoop of ice cream or a dusting of powdered sugar if desired.
