John Smith was on his daily walk in the park when he spotted a rare Pikachu on his Pokemon Go app. He ran after it, not realizing he had accidentally entered the marathon course. As he was surrounded by runners and cheering crowds, Smith tried to blend in by high-fiving them, hoping to avoid detection. However, the race officials soon realized he was not registered for the marathon.
Despite being unprepared for a full marathon, Smith persisted and completed the race in five hours and thirty minutes. At the finish line, he explained that he was just trying to catch a Pikachu. Word of Smith's accidental marathon participation quickly spread throughout the community, making him a local celebrity.
Despite the race officials inviting him to participate in next year's marathon, Smith declined, preferring to focus on catching Pokemon. "I don't think my legs can take another five-hour run," he joked. And so, John Smith's unexpected marathon run ended, but his love for Pokemon Go remained as strong as ever.
