Residents of a local nursing home were surprised when an alligator was discovered hiding under some beach chairs on the patio. According to witnesses, the alligator had apparently snuck into the facility through a nearby pond and had made its way to the patio, where it found the perfect hiding spot under some unoccupied beach chairs.

"It was a real shock to see an alligator hanging out right in our backyard," said resident Edith Johnson. "I never thought I'd have to worry about that kind of thing at my age!"
The alligator's presence caused quite a commotion among the residents, who initially hesitated to go outside or even open their windows.
"It was like having a real-life monster lurking outside, " resident George Jenkins said. "I don't think any of us felt truly safe until it was gone."
Fortunately, animal control was quickly called in to remove the alligator safely relocated to a nearby swamp.
"It's not every day we get calls like this," said animal control officer Sarah Wilson. "But we're always happy to help out and make sure everyone stays safe."
Despite the scare, some residents find humor in the situation and even joke about the alligator's presence.
"I guess you could say we're now a retirement home with a bit of a wild side," said resident Betty Smith with a chuckle. "Who knows what'll show up next!"
