Residents of the small town of Danville were left stunned when they spotted Bigfoot fishing in a local park pond without a valid fishing license.
According to witnesses, the elusive cryptid was seen casting a line into the pond early in the morning, unaware he needed a license to fish legally.
"It was definitely Bigfoot," said local resident Bob Smith. "I mean, who else would be fishing at that hour and with such massive arms?"
The incident has sparked a heated debate among residents and fishing enthusiasts. Some argue that Bigfoot should be allowed to fish without a license due to his status as a rare and protected species.
"He's a gentle giant, and he's just trying to feed himself," said local environmentalist Sarah Wilson. "I don't think we should punish him for trying to survive."
Others, however, are calling for Bigfoot to be held accountable for breaking the law.
"We can't just let anyone fish without a license," said a town council member. "Even if they're a mythical creature."
In response to the controversy, the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife has announced plans to investigate the matter and determine the appropriate course of action.
As for Bigfoot himself, he has remained elusive and has not made any public statements regarding the incident.
"He's always been a bit of a mystery," said resident Jane Adams. "But I guess now we know he's also a rulebreaker."
